Review: The story of how World War Z has become much more harrowing and exciting than the film itself. Then go well above budget and enduing a thorough review and redo the final act, WWZ was not exactly set up to succeed. In short, the film is totally forgettable and uneven, but not offensively bad or objectively terrible in any sense. What impressed me was about what a wasted opportunity it was, given how interesting and fun is.Having source material read the book World War Z, I could tell from the trailers for this movie , particles would not exactly a faithful adaptation. I thought the most interesting aspects of the book was its exploration of how the zombie plague affected the social and political structures in the world. Something like this is totally ignored in the film, but I can at least understand how the filmmakers felt that these aspects would not work on a single feature film. What I can not understand is the way the filmmakers apparently ignored the most obvious books film content. The book contains a number of scenes action setpieces, and to be fair, many of them involving cities in the world falling zombie attacks and the film makes enough to cover this. But the books huge battle scenes - the meat of the holder Zombie War, as the Battle of Yonkers, nuclear war between the Pakistani Iran, the Chinese civil war and massive battle against the zombies training - are fully absent. I was very surprised that they do not cover, especially Yonkers phase because obviously fit well as a film and script, as it is now, it can be easily adjusted to include or at least mention them. The action in this film is made very unsatisfactory and dark due to limitations of the PG-13 rating, and the story is not around interesting enough to really invest myself in it.I was also surprised at how cheap this movie as outside. This film cost hundreds of millions of dollars to make, but it is See how difficult all happened on the screen. Swarms of zombies look very fake and not threatening, and in some cases individual zombies are animated by computer, which gave me bad flashbacks to I Am Legends terrible CGI overload. Apart from the opening scenes in Philadelphia and the mall in Jerusalem, there is great outdoor sets.
