Review: I look forward to this since the moment I saw the trailer, and so I got out of bed about 10:05 showing on opening day. It looked funny as Shaun of the Dead, and appeared to have its own interesting take, a rarity in the zombie genre. Usually lots of zombie movies is about as useless as a zombie. The best way to describe this movie is a romantic zombie comedy. There are certain activities and some tense moments later, but the initial set is a zombie, RS, and emotional growth as meeting this girl sparks something in him that developed. This is nothing like Twilight, and those who said that they were either not seen or were too absorbed in the fact that the two lines are sleek, it's the only similarity this movie has a Twilight. But, lets face it, most water films are attractive, so there is not much to base on similarity. Shaun of the Dead is just comedy, where this is a comedy with heart and depth. It's satire, but they did not force feed point of the film, but they make it very subtle, because nice.It was laugh-out-loud comedy but I do not think I ever thought it would be when I saw the trailer. It definitely had more emotional depth than I thought it would give me much more fond attachment to the film than if it is simply a must. Two lines had great chemistry and were believable and well cast. Directing, writing, and just about everything in the movie was well done. I have no complaints. It delivered what it said it would and exceeded my expectations which is rare these days in entertainment. |
