Review: Before going any further with this review, note that I have not read the book, but I will in the near future :) Please note that the Im also a (straight) guy ... is not that the for is relevant: what PWow I can say for this movie. It time title starts to play, I was hooked right away. The scene of the scene, this the film can only absorb the me to this beautiful world of Hazel Grace Lancaster and Augustus Waters. Shailene Woodley between chemistry and Ansel Elsort is amazing and the performances were amazing. Really, this is the best movie I've seen all year, even better than Captain America: Winter Soldier and Godzilla, which was a big surprise. I just thought it would be another teenie love story, and boy was I wrong. I loved this movie, and I recommend it everyone of all ages. Im a waffle and praised the film now so I should probably go to continue review. The direction and cinematography was fantastic. Not a single shot seemed strange, or in its place. Every shot matched the scene and felt genuine. Editing was also great as shot after shot matched the face of the characters and their (usually in a good movie editing stuff). The acting was perhaps One of the best aspects of this in the film. Seriously, it makes the two characters feel real and alive, and sometimes I forgot it was fiction and based on a true story. Their performances were so abundant and certainly Oscar worthy in my opinion. But knowing this academy Teenie is only one love story that is not acknowledged at all. I hope Im wrong, but thats because it tends to have. This is the first film in years that I have been given the tenth out of the 10s I just do not, but it was seriously nothing wrong with this movie. The pacing was perfect, the acting was phenomenal, direction, editing and cinematography was exceptional and overall this the film is one of the best romantic comedies ever touched the ground. I urge everyone to go and see the this movie does not matter what age you are and bring a packet of tissues, too. You need it.10/10 |
